Who doesn't want to give you real rate relief
On April 2nd, the Maryland State Senate voted 31- 16 to reconsider a decision from the previous day that would have killed the Maryland Strategic Energy Investment Fund.
The bill offers citizens short-term and long term rate relief through direct rebates and energy efficiency. The bulk of those savings would have come from energy efficiency programs, which deliver $4 in consumer savings, for every dollar invested.
Below are the Senators who opposed the motion to reconsider the bill:
David Brinkley (R)
James Brochin (D)
Richard Colburn (R)
George Della (D)
George Edwards (R)
Barry Glassman (R)
Janet Greenip (R)
Larry Haines (R)
Andrew Harris (R)
Nancy Jacobs (R)
Allan Kittleman (R)
Alexander Mooney (R)
Donald Munson (R)
E.J. Pipkin (R)
Bryan Simonaire (R)
Lowell Stoltzfus (R)
